Recent events with NCR waving the flag!

DKIT 5K and 10k
There was a great turnout for the Dundalk 5k and 10k races on Wednesday evening, producing some great results:
Lorraine Campbell – 1:00:22, Dearbhail McAteer 1:05:18, Nicola Matthews 1:02:10, Caoimhe O’Gorman 1:03:17, Michelle Currie 1:03:18, Hugh McConnell 40:20 (PB) Attracta Magennis 51:26, Gerald McAleenan 42:51, Willie McCracken 49:00, Pat Rocks 43.27, Bernard Hamill was first NCR home in a time of 39.12 which was his best time in 3 years – all the training is paying off and Patricia Brown also had an excellent time of 44.03, taking first in category and first NCR lady home.
Danielle Campbell had great run in the 5K coming in at 31.01 and was 4th lady home.

Hills and Dales Series
Mountain Goats were out in force again with more very impressive times – Duddy Parr 39.36, Gary McGale 49.02, Cathal Morgan 50.55, Aaron Montgomery 53.31, Laura Devine 59.40, Damian McCann 1.02.56, Fiona Murphy 1.05.03, Karen McElroy 1:16.32 and Janine Burns 1:16.50

Almac 10K
Cathal Morgan took part in this 10K event, with all his hard work and training paying off with an excellent time of 41.55. This was after taking part in the tough Hills & Dales series on Thursday evening in Slieve Martin.

Seapatrick 5K & 10K
Two NCR members participated in Seapatrick on Sunday with Michele Mowlds continuing her superb form running the 5k event in a time of 25.33 and James Hughes with an excellent time of 44.31 in the 10k event. Well done to both.

Lurgan Lakes &Lough 10 Mile Run
Jennifer McAteer took to the roads again this Sunday competing in the Lurgan Lakes & Lough 10 Mile Run – a very scenic route that went round Lough Neagh and Craigavon Lakes, with a great time of 1:49:55. This was all the more impressive as it was a ‘Spur of the moment decision’ that Jennifer decided to enter.

Newport Wales Marathon
The irrepressible lady that is Barbara Fleming Ovens travelled to Newport Wales this weekend to take part in what was her 18th Marathon on Sunday with an excellent time of 4.13.13

Sterling Marathon
Scotland was the other Marathon destination this weekend with Chris Devine putting in a truly excellent performance in Sterling, coming in 6th place overall, in an event with very high attendance, in a time of 2.38.58 – very well done to Chris.

Rostrevor Park Run
Well done to Patricia Brown who completed the Rostrevor Park Run in 23.12 and was first lady home.
