NEWRY RACE REPORT WC 25TH SEPT 2017

Haldane Fishers Duathlon:

NCR and Newry Wheelers joined forces with our sponsors for the Haldane Fishers Duathlon in aid of Autism Families Community Support Group. The race commenced at Carnbane Industrial Estate and consisted of a 2 mile run, 10 mile cycle and finally a 2 mile run. 2nd in the relay team with a time of 54:58 Duddy Parr. 3rd relay team was Tony Mc Ateer with a time of 1:00:32. 4th lady Patricia Browns time 1:13:00, and Faye Sergeant 1:36:40. Great event and well done to all involved. 

Black rock 4 miler:
Great run by Patricia Brown, 2×2 mike laps and 2nd in category with a time of 27:59.
Loch Ness Marathon:
A new Marathon PB time for Michael Englishby, continuing his recent good run of form with a fantastic 3:27:12.
Berlin Marathon:
An excellent time for David Vint who has trained hard for this event, 3:29 well within his target. Another great run by Gerald Boyle, 3:51. Well done lads.

Warsaw Marathon:

Well done to Barbara Fleming-Ovens, 3:56 time in Warsaw.
Dublin Half-Marathon:
Despite the delay due to the traffic chaos on Saturday morning enroute to Dublin, both NCR runners Brendan Mc Verry and Aidy Winters ran well, times 2:04:30 and 1:41:39 respectively.
Causeway Coast:
In the Ultra Marathon, Aaron Montgomery ran well with a time of 7:29:37. Half marathon results as follows; Frank Mc Kennna (no time available), Patricia Byrne (no time available), Michele Mowlds 2:40:20, Janine Ramsey 3:11:12, Jennifer Mc Ateer 3:39:38.
Attical 10k:
Damian Mc Cann ran 57 mins in the Attical Youth Race in association with Mourne Stimulus Day Centre.
Castlewellan Park-Run no:1
Well done to Evelyn Marsh who ran in the 1st ever Castlewellan Park-Run (time unavailable).
Rostrevor Park-Run:
Two PB runs by NCR’s Aidy Winters, 22:22 (2nd in category), and Brendan Mc Verry 25:29.
Club Series Pace your own Race:
Final race of the year takes place in Greenbank Industrial Estate on Thursday 28th October at 6.30pm. Everyone has a chance to win so please come along and give your support.
