The annual King/Queen of the Mountain 10k race on 12th August in Carrickcruppen was won by NCRs Christoper Devine in a super time of 35.31, and Aine Fegan brilliantly retaining her title with a very speedy time of 43.40. Well done to everyone who took part, NCR times as follows:

Monaghan 5 and 10 miler on 14th August was a huge success once again. Plenty of NCRs took part in the run gaining new PB times . Wednesday evening saw the annual Rathfriland 5k fun run & 10k, which is progressively getting bigger & better and had new course to challenge the athletes on a warm evening. On the podium was Patricia Brown with a brilliant time of 44.46. Well done to all NCRs, times as follows: Don Travers 35.07 (5th place), Duddy Parr 38.57 (9th place), Aidy Winters 44.31, Maureen O’Hare 47.15, Ciaran Mc Bride 47.19, Paul Close 51.38, Tara O’Boyle 52.24, Sarah Quinn 58.06, Gosia Masiukiewicz 1.05.23, Faye Sergeant 1.05.29.
At the Frank Duffy 10 mile race in Dublin on Saturday 20th, Robbie Marsh claimed a new PB in a super time of 1.10.03. Also congratulations to Patricia Brown who won her category in a classy time of 1.13.01.
Also on Saturday was the annual Born 2 Run Dambusters Half Marathon race at the Silent Valley. Very well done to the three NCR ladies who took part in this tough run: Faye Sergeant 55.57, Tracey Ruane 58.05, Jennifer Mc Ateer 1.13.33.
On Sunday 21st, Noel Moan junior & senior took part in Donegal Marathon. Super running from junior 4.01, and senior 4.47, very well done on a tough course.
Special mention to NCR members, friends & family, who worked hard at the weekend to raise over £1,500 for the annual flag day street collection to raise vital funds for the Samaritan’s charity. This local charity does much work in the community to help those in need. Well done team NCR.
