NCR reach for the “Spelga Skylines”

Spelga Skyline:
Great running from NCRs Mary Quinn and Aaron Montgomery at one of the most difficult mountain races around – the “Spelga Skyline”. A full 13 miles with 5,000 feet of elevation, technically very difficult. Aaron’s time was 5.05.54 and Mary clocked 5.08.46, very well done to you both.
Ards Half Marathon:
For a road race, this race – in particular the first half, has a lot of hills to climb. Nonetheless well done to the following NCRs who ran great times, as follows:
Don Travers 1:17:10 (2nd in category), Gerald Boyle 1:39:32, Barbara Fleming-Ovens 1.46.51, Jennifer Mc Ateer 2.27:58.
East Antrim Marathon:
A special mention to Jennifer Mc Ateer who guided a visually impaired runner in this race last week to a time of 1:17:09. This encapsulates Jennifer’s attitude of always being there for other runners and reminds us all of the importance of a selfless team spirit. Well done to Jennifer.
