Club Training Runs

Below you will find a number of training runs currently organized by the Club.

It is aimed for adults of all ages, from beginners to novice levels, men and women alike, and those who participate need not fear speed or distance as it is a group event and progression is at your pace – in fact a number of those who started have went on to compete in the Newry Half or Full marathon as well as other big runs organized throughout the year.
Not only does running help with aiding weight loss and building a healthier heart, it also has other associate health benefits, but mainly exercise helps improve your mood and what better way is there to help break up those dark winter nights then to get out there running along with others, and not only enjoying the running but also getting to meet new people of all abilities and enjoying the social aspect to make exercise fun for all.
What will you need? – to partake you will need a good pair of trainers and suitable loose clothing. It is better to have too much than too little at least you can remove any additional fleece or that! And don’t forget during these dark evening please bring a Hi-Vis vest.
