Following on from some cracking races so far this season, another fast time for Eva Kitchen this time in Brighton marathon with a speedy time of 3.35. Very well done Eva.
All the way over to Switzerland saw Jennifer Mc Ateer achieve a time 5.40.00. Conditions were warm so a very well done to Jennifer, who is beginning to excel in the longer distances.
Cooley Half Marathon:
Congrats to Damian Mc Cann who ran the Carlingford Cooley Legends half marathon in 2.18.
Castleward Half Marathon & 10k:
A beautiful scenic Castleward in the sunshine, plenty of trails through the forest and hill training at its best. Don Travers 1st place, 1.21.13, and Anne Travers just under the two hours, 1.57.45 in the half marathon.
In the 10k, and first race in the NCR colours for Janine Burns, good time 1.03.29, supported by Karen Mc Elroy, time 1.03.28. Also Brendan Mc Verry, a great run 59.58.
Patsy Kelly 5k, Dundalk:
Pat Rocks stole the show winning his M60 category prize in an impressive 20.14. And a worthy recipient of the Patsy Kelly cup.
Patricia Brown won her F50 category with a super time of 21.18, 25 seconds faster than the recent Queens 5k. And there was more to come from Patricia as you can read in the Titanic 10k section. Two very good races in one weekend, well done Patricia!
Excellent new PB runs for Damien Maguire 19.27, Gerald Boyle 20.35, and Michael Englishby 20.42. All the hard work in training is paying off! Also well done to Willie Mc Cracken 24.07 and to Cathal Morgan 30.25, who ran beside his partner Lisa to support and guide in only her second race. Team work makes the dream work!
Phoenix Park Great Ireland 10k:
A new PB time for Michele Mowlds in Phoenix Park, time 56.58, well done.
In Belfast another two speedy runs for Roisin Rocks 44.14, and Patricia Brown 45.32 who also won her category prize.
