Dundalk 10k and 5k:
A strong headwind for much of the race at Dundalk didnt seem to put off the NCR runners who took part in the 10k race on Tuesday evening in Dundalk. First NCR over the line in the 10k was Duddy Parr, time 38.39. Bernard Hamill ran a very good 40.17 with only 2 days rest after the 41.59 time on Sunday at the Dublin night run. Gerald Mc Aleenan 41.21, Michael Englishby 43.15, Allan Ovens 43.26, in super form Roisin Rocks clocked a new 10k PB time of 43.57 well done! Another good run from Deirdre Kelly, 47.11, Damian Mc Cann 50.13, Barbara Fleming-Ovens 48.36, Tracey Ruane 53.41, Brendan Mc Verry 55.00, Sarah Winters 58.50, Julie Johnston 59.58, Sharon Duffy 1.10.51.
Last but definately not least Maureen O’Hare and Billy Donnelly did a fantastic job as the 1 hour pacers, crossing the line at exactly 1 hour. Great supportive roll once again Mo.
Hill & Dales Series Race No 3:
Well done to all members who took part in the Slieve Martin run, 4.25 miles with a climb of 1740 feet. The recent poor weather meant that athletes were required to carry ‘full body cover’ for the duration of the race. Times as follows: Stephen O’Neill 49.26, Mike Barnett 49.49, Shane O’Callaghan 49.55, Aaron Montgomery 51.07, Frank Mc Kenna, 54.20, Mary Quinn 56.41, Joy Morgan 57.53, Lorna Murphy 59.52, Damian Mc Cann 59.54, Clive Weir 1.02.33.
‘Pace Your Own Race’ NCR Summer series:
The first of six races took place on 27th April in Greenbank, well done to everyone who took part and especcially to the winners Sinead Dillon and Ciaran Mc Bride. Thanks also to the organisers, marshalls, time-keepers and supporters.

Annual Pyjama 5k run:
On Sunday, another successful Pyjama 5k fun-day run at Greenbank hosted by Willie & Eimear Mc Cracken, raising a brilliant £650 total for the Southern Area Hopsice, a very worthy charity. 1st Male was Marty Gorman, 1st Female Leah Mooney, 1st under 18 girl Anna Fegan and 1st under 18 boy James Mc Cann. Well done also to best fancy dress winners Tom Dillon and Michelle Fox. We look forward to next years Pjyama 5k run, well done to everyone who took part and helped on the day
