10 years running with Autism HAND!!

Run for Autism HAND 10 mile and half marathon.

As usual there was a good NCR turnout for the 10th annual Run for Autism from Newtownhamilton to Lissummon, with members taking part in both the hilly routes for the 10 mile and the half marathon.

Well done to Tony McAteer and Aidy Winters who took part in the half marathon, Tony finishing in 1.34 and Aidy finishing in 1:37:57.

10 Mile

In the 10 mile, Hugh McConnell produced a fantastic performance to finish as second male in a time of 1:09:11. Lorna Murphy was next NCR home in 1:23:42 and Frank McKenna was close behind in 1:26:49. Patricia Byrne and Peter Simpson ran well also, finishing in 1:43:02. Well done everyone

Well done also to Attracta Magennis who completed the 10 mile walk.

Chicago Marathon

Well done to Gerald Boyle, Robbie Marsh, Colm McCann and Bernard Hamill who travelled to the Windy City to complete the 40thChicago marathon as part of the World Marathon Majors.

First NCR home was Robbie in 3:45:24 to complete his 5th major, closely followed by Gerald in 3:45:52 completing his 4th major of 2017. Colm finished in 4:17:31 and Bernard finished in 4:22:40.

Armagh 10 Mile

Congratulations to Christopher Devine who produced a 10 mile PB at the Armagh 10 mile road race, finishing in 56:40. Pat Rocks and Willie McCracken also took part in this popular race finishing in 1:14:19 and 1:25:57 respectively, also finishing first and third in their age categories. Well done to all on great results on a tough route.

Yorkshire marathon

Peter Linden and Eva Kitchen took part in the Yorkshire marathon. Both battling injury, however still managing to produce good times. Peter finished in 3:24:19 and Eva came home in 3:58:47. Well done to you both.

Killeavy Klassic 10k and 5k

There was another good turnout from NCR at the local Killeavy Klassic 5k and 10k. First NCR home was Duddy Parr in 7th place finishing in 37:53, closely followed by Paddy Havern in 38:29. First NCR female home was Aine Fegan in 43:20, finishing 3rd female overall. Mark Copeland finished in 48:00 (new PB), Damian McCann in 54:16, Tracy Ruane in 55:30 and Gloria Havern and Sharon Maginn in 57:11. Well done everyone.

Well done also to Attracta Magennis, Karen McElroy and Janine Burns who took part in the 5k. Attracta finished in 31:10 while Karen and Janine finished in 33:57.

Galway Bay half marathon

Congratulations to David Love who took part in the Galway Bay half marathon finishing in 1:44:24. David also ran Killeavy 10k earlier in the week, finishing in 44:30.
